Extreme Sound Entertainment was formed in May of 1998 by Wade Spencer and Larry Watkins, two Mansfield University Communication majors. Originally started as a hobby to make a little extra money on the weekends, the business has grown and currently has a schedule of about 100 jobs a year.

In August of 2003, Larry left the area to join to the U.S. Coast Guard where he is still serving today. Wade took over sole ownership of the business, replaced and updated all of the equipment, and brought on some new employees.
